Have you ever seen a ghost?

Yes! Yes, why don’t we talk about ghosts? I’ve had lost of experiences with… Well, we had a – Well, my dad says we didn’t but we did have a poltergeist in our house when we were growing up and lots of things were moved around and… I mean, really actually quite frightening things happened. I woke up and there was a hand – well, I mean, it was my dad’s hand because it had his wedding ring on – he wasn’t on the end of this hand. I could see him in bed on the other – there were lots of us, nice children. so me and my brother when we were, like, four and five we had a bunk bed in my parents’ bedroom. So I woke up and saw this hand with his wedding ring on but just ended at the wrist. I was like, “Ugh, God.” Then “Aaghh,” turned around and saw my dad lying down asleep. But then another, my dad came up out of his body and said, “Oh, don’t worry about it” or something. And then – laid back down – and then, um, a horse, a white horse, with a man on it. With all, like, ragged clothes. I was like, “Heyyup,” because he was quite handsome. And was going, “It’s alright, I’ll get the hand, I’ll get the hand.” I went, “Oh yeah, if you could it’s just down here.” And then… Then, this little girl, who had been bothering me for a while, was at the end of my bed and had pinched my feet. And I was like, “Oh, not you as well.” So I was like, Please let the man with the ragged shirt on the white horse get rid of the girl and the hand and then they did. But my brother – this is the freaky thing – and this is absolutely true. Honestly, this is true. I never told anyone about that. That was when I was four. And then about seven years ago we were all, because a big part of Irish culture is to tell ghost stories. To sit around telling really scary ghost stories. And my brother went first. And he said, “Oh, I have one. Do you remember we had bunk beds in Mum and Dad’s bedroom?” And I was like, “Yeah, yeah, what did you see?” He was like, “Well, I remember waking up, well, sort of thinking, I’ve got to get rid of the hand.” And um, he thought he got rid of the hand that was all… *RH suggests that BC may have been asleep.* Yeah, no, I mean I don’t think they were ghosts. I just think I was, you know, a weird child. No, but lots of other things as well have happened.
