How do you decide when it’s time to retire a pair of pants?

EJ: Ah. Uh, I stopped Isy from tweeting a picture of my pants. This afternoon, in fact. Because I’ve had the same pair of Slazenger boxing shorts, probably since before Tony Blair was Prime Minister. And they’re all torn along the gusset. The gusset is essentially unsustainable. And she said, “You should really throw these out. Can I put a picture of them on Twitter?” And I said, “No – let me retain a semblance of dignity in this relationship.” So I will not retire pants.

JR: We discussed my pant-retiring on this show, haven’t we? You remember my humble-brag? So I, I have a, um – *EJ says “huge cock”.* A problem that manifests itself in every pair of pants I’ve ever owned, whereby I will use my left hand to pop myself back in through my left pocket. So the boxers tear a hole, they wear through, where eventually one day they’ll just rip. So that half of my boxers have got a tear on the left trunk leg. But I don’t retire them. I am actually planning to buy some boxers soon. Be the first time in a couple of years.
