Emergency Questions
Have you ever seen a ghost?
Well, I haven’t but my family members insist that there was a ghost that I was taken to when I was born. That sounds like I was abducted. All I meant was the house I was born into. So basically, um, there were numerous members of my family on my mum’s side. They all absolutely, 100 percent believe that there was a spirit haunting the house. So when I was born, like, the cradle would rock, and my mum would hear, like, steps going up and down. And you know, my dad wasn’t home. She was home alone. My mum’s – my uncle, basically. My mum’s eldest brother, he came over to the UK to do, like, a Master’s in Engineering, or something. And he’s a very – He’s one of those people, because he does engineering he just doesn’t… He’s very straight down the line. And he started moaning at mum that every night someone was running around the stairs. EVentually we moved out and we found out some two months later that the two… The owner previous to the last one had killed himself in that house. And the reason the last owner left was he believed that the spirit was still possessed. So apparently, when I was a kid, I got pushed around by ghosts. I never saw it. But there are also reports that, like… My mum said that when my grandfather passed away, he had, in the window, moments before he died, seen my eldest uncle – who was executed by the Pakistani army during the war in 1971; this was in 1988 – seen him in the window, beckoning him. And my grandfather walked to the window and said, “I’ll be with you in just a moment.” Went to his bed, and told my mum, “Tell your mum to give me my tea later,” and then passed away. So, it does happen apparently, but I don’t know. Maybe they were smoking something.
Have you ever been potholing?
Have I been potholing? What is potholing? *RH mentions that on a previous episode Nish Kumar confirmed he’d been potholing.* Yeah, we’re in an Asian WhatsApp group. Can we do the whitest experiences just to fit in, please? Camping next. No, I’ve never, ever gone potholing and I don’t think I ever want to.
Notes
When advising that the audience was better than last week’s audience, RH goes on to explain that the episodes are being put out in a different order than they are recorded. RH further advises that the audience is in actuality “nowhere as good.”
When discussing how COVID-19 has affected RH’s ability to shake hands, EA and RH do a test shake.
